BBoyVideo.com — first homegrown ecom platform.
Built from scratch on Classic ASP (VBScript on IIS, the de-facto stack for dynamic sites in 2001, before PHP took over the LAMP world). It was the firm’s first truly end-to-end ecommerce platform — credit-card processing, customer-account management, shipping-label printing, order history, inventory, the works.
It also filled a real niche: in 2001, breakdance VHS tapes and DVDs were genuinely hard to find. There was no YouTube, no streaming — just a small global community of b-boys and breakers trading footage. So I built a proper online store for them.
It ran for years, served the community, and was eventually handed off to a new owner. Most of the original codebase is off the public web now — but the screenshots below, captured before the sale, are the real thing.

What was the firm building in 2001?
In 2001 the firm shipped BBoyVideo.com, its first end-to-end ecommerce platform, written from scratch in Classic ASP. That meant VBScript running on IIS with SQL Server behind it, which was the ordinary way to build a dynamic site before the LAMP stack took over. End to end was the point: card processing, customer accounts, order history, inventory, and shipping labels printed in the office. The market was small and real. Breakdance tapes and DVDs were genuinely hard to buy in 2001, with no YouTube and no streaming, so a scattered community of b-boys traded footage by mail. The store ran for years and was later handed to a new owner.
What changed when the firm started shipping its own products?
Client work never stopped. More than 180 engagements since 1999, with no year missing. What changed in 2026 is that the firm began running its own software in production instead of only building someone else's. CarSnipe watches Facebook Marketplace and pushes alerts to Telegram. SocialBotify derives a brand voice from a customer's own site and publishes from one approval screen. ConceptSEO audits sites every week and writes fixes an engineer can merge. The Hyperliquid Guide is a trading reference read by tens of thousands of people. Owning them changes the incentives: a bug in a client build is a ticket, and a bug in CarSnipe is our own support inbox.
What was the stack in 2001, and what is it now?
The 2001 stack was Classic ASP: VBScript on IIS, SQL Server for storage, pages assembled on the server before they were sent. Server-rendered is still how everything here is built, which is the part that did not change in 27 years. The rest did. Laravel and PHP run ConceptSEO and SocialBotify, Next.js and TypeScript run the Hyperliquid Guide, CarSnipe is JavaScript and Python with delivery over Telegram, and the desktop application work we still take on is C#, .NET 8 and WPF. The newest layer is the model APIs from OpenAI and Anthropic, and they are the first addition in a long time that changed what the products can do rather than how quickly they got built.
